Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 129(3) of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003) that the Garden Route District Municipal Council hereby makes the Oversight Report on the Annual Report for the 2024/2025 financial year public.

The 2024/2025 Annual Report was also approved in a Council Meeting on 12 February 2026.

The 2024/2025 Annual Report and Oversight reports are available at the Garden Route District Municipality’s IDP Unit, 54 York Street George and on the Garden Route District Municipal website at www.gardenroute.gov.za.

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 129(3) of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003) that the Garden Route District Municipal Council hereby makes the Oversight Report on the Annual Report for the 2023/2024 financial year public.

The 2023/2024 Annual Report was also approved in a Council Meeting on 30 January 2025.

The 2023/2024 Annual Report and Oversight Report is available at all main local libraries, satellite offices and the Garden Route District Municipality’s IDP Unit, 54 York Street, George and on the GRDM municipal website www.gardenroute.gov.za.

Public Notice: GRDM Unaudited Draft Annual Report for the 2023/2024 Financial Year Now Available

Notice is hereby given that the 2023/2024 Draft Unaudited Annual Report was noted by the Council at its meeting held on 21 August 2024, in accordance with Circular 63 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act (Act 56 of 2003).

The Unaudited Draft Annual Report for the 2023/2024 financial year is now available for public comment until 30 September 2024. We encourage you to review the document and submit your comments via email to rekords@gardenroute.gov.za on or before 30 September 2024.

The Final Audited Annual Report for 2023/2024 will be presented to the Council for approval in December 2024.

The document is available for public inspection during office hours at the IDP unit, Garden Route District Municipality, 54 York Street, George, and at all our satellite offices in Riversdale, Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn, Knysna, and Bitou. It can also be accessed on our municipal website: www.gardenroute.gov.za.

Persons who are unable to read or write are encouraged to contact the Garden Route District Municipality during ordinary office hours, where they will be assisted to formulate their written comments or objection. Notice is hereby given that the 2024/2025 IDP Budget & PMS Time Schedule has been adopted in terms of Section 21 of the Municipal Finance Management Act (Act 56 of 2003) by the Garden Route District Municipal Council, at a Council meeting held on 30 August 2023.

Furthermore, the 2022/2023 Draft Unaudited Annual Report has been noted by Council in terms of Circular 63 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, Act 56 of 2003.  The Unaudited Draft Annual Report for the 2022/2023 financial year is open for comments. Comments must be lodged in writing to The Municipal Manager, PO Box 12, George, 6530 or by e-mail at rekords@gardenroute.gov.za before /or on 2 October 2023.

Notice is hereby given that the Revised 2022-2027 IDP/Budget/Performance Management System (PMS) Process Plan including the Time Schedule has been adopted in terms of Section 28 of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act (Act 32 of 2000) and Section 21 of the Municipal Finance Management Act (Act 56 of 2003) by the Garden Route District Municipal Council, at a Council meeting held on 24 August 2022.

Furthermore, the 2021/2022 Draft Unaudited Annual Report has been noted by Council in terms of Circular 63 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, Act 56 of 2003. The Unaudited Draft Annual Report for the 2021/2022 financial year is open for comments.

Notice is hereby given in terms of the MFMA Circular  No 32  of the Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003) that the Garden Route District Municipality’s Municipal Public Accounts Committee, responsible for the Review and Analysis of the 2019/20 Annual Report, will be taking place on 23 March 2021.

Date: 23 March 2021

Time: 10h00-12h00

Questions will be posed to Management to get clarity on the contents of the Annual Financial Statements and the Annual Report.  The draft oversight report will be written after this meeting.
