Notice is hereby given that the Garden Route District Municipal Council’s Second Adjustments Budget for the period 2025/2026-2027/2028, was compiled in accordance with the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act 2003 (Act 56 of 2003).

This document was approved by the Garden Route District Municipality at a District Council meeting held on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
This document will be available for public inspection and comments on the GRDM municipal website www.gardenroute.gov.za from
26 February 2026.

Members of the public are invited to submit written comments or representations to the municipality in respect of this document. All

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 129(3) of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003) that the Garden Route District Municipal Council hereby makes the Oversight Report on the Annual Report for the 2024/2025 financial year public.

The 2024/2025 Annual Report was also approved in a Council Meeting on 12 February 2026.

The 2024/2025 Annual Report and Oversight reports are available at the Garden Route District Municipality’s IDP Unit, 54 York Street George and on the Garden Route District Municipal website at www.gardenroute.gov.za.

Notice is hereby given that the offices of the Garden Route District Municipality will close on Friday, 12 December 2025 at 12:00 and re-open on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 07:30.

Public Notice: Builders break and traffic flow on surfaced lane DR1618 – Gwaiing Road

Notice Number: 128/2025

Notice is hereby given that the Garden Route District Municipality will be on a Builders break from 12/12/2025 to 12/01/2026 and one-way traffic flow with a speed limit of 40km/h will be maintained on the surfaced lane.

Access is strictly restricted to residents and their stakeholders residing along DR1618.

Construction operations are pending on the LHS lane and motorists are not allowed to drive on that gravel surface. Signage will be in place during this period to ensure the safety of all.
